Veritiv Finance Chief Stephen Smith Plans Retirement, Successor Named

Veritiv Corp. said Chief Financial Officer Stephen Smith plans to retire next year, and he will be succeeded by Eric Guerin.

Mr. Smith informed the company’s board of directors that he intends to step down from his position in September 2023, Veritiv said Thursday.

To ensure a smooth transition, Mr. Guerin will join the company on Jan. 1 as senior vice president of finance before becoming CFO on March 1, the company said.

Mr. Guerin most recently served as the CFO of CDK Global, a provider of retail technology and software-as-a-service solutions.
