Amye Kim, former director of capital budget and debt at Princeton University, has been appointed associate vice chancellor for finance and treasurer at Washington University in St. Louis, according to Amy B. Kweskin, executive vice chancellor for finance and chief financial officer.
Kim, who joined the university Jan. 17, succeeds Mark Amiri, who is retiring at the end of the month after five years as Washington University’s treasurer and a more than 35-year career in various finance roles across the country.
“I want to thank Mark for his leadership and support. Over the last five years, Mark has been a strategic partner supporting the university’s financing needs for various projects, including the east end project on the Danforth Campus and the neuroscience research building at the Medical Campus,” Kweskin said. “He has worked to ensure the university efficiently used its liquidity resources, especially during the pandemic. We will miss Mark and wish him the best in this next phase.
“In Amye Kim, we were able to recruit a talented and dedicated treasury leader to the university,” Kweskin said. “Amye’s prior experiences in higher education and investment banking will serve us well as we move forward with the university’s strategic plan and build upon our strong financial position.”
