Job #1849: Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:
In consultation and partnership with Matheny’s President and CEO, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team, the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plans, directs and coordinates the financial operations of all aspects of Matheny, including the medical center, school, community residences, adult day program and Arts Access. The CFO also plays a primary role in developing and implementing Matheny’s strategic plan and assessing growth and other strategic opportunities that may benefit the organization.

The CFO is accountable for serving as the principal advisor regarding all financial matters that may affect the short-term or long-term financial success of the organization. The CFO is accountable for planning, developing, implementing, and administering all financial policies, financial analysis, and internal controls and assuring that these policies are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, tax regulations, and existing federal and state laws.This includes student/patient accounts, accounting (payables and receivables), and payroll to
ensure balance of funding and financial solvency of the organization. The CFO also serves as Treasurer of the organization. Reports to the President and CEO.
