Oak Ridge Schools Superintendent Bruce Borchers has announced that Jenifer Van Dyke has been officially named finance director for the Oak Ridge Schools.
For the last eight years, Van Dyke has worked in the Oak Ridge Schools’ Business Office as the grant accountant, the district accountant, the business services coordinator, and the interim finance director. In her various roles, she has worked closely with grant managers and the various Oak Ridge Schools departments to help facilitate district needs, worked closely with the school bookkeepers, and managed the day-to-day operations of the Business Office, according to a school system news release.
Prior to entering school finance, Van Dyke worked nine years in the banking industry.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has been married to her husband Dan for 22 years. They and their two children, Holly (18) and Ben (16), have lived in the East Tennessee area for 12 years. She loves the mountains, hiking, reading, and supporting her children in their various activities. She is a former PTA treasurer and Girl Scout leader, and current treasurer for the Karns area Boy Scout Troop 50.
